Shall use this time to blog.

Sorry for the non-consistent blogging. was really busy going out with girlfriend, studying for the endless exams in AFS etc etc. I got ATT C today so managed to come home.

So far so good! life in AFS is really good. Good facilities, good instructors and good food! the chicken cutlet there is absolutely national class standard! you can just sign in for a visitor pass to try it. It's the thing that caused me to vomit and go to toilet every now and then. BEWARE! haha. but it's worth the risk!

shopped with debra on saturday! i bought 3 tops! wow. debra said that i'm becoming more and more muscular le. so wear muscle tees look very fit! i thought so too! :) haha.

that's all. nothing much to say!

Happy 2 months! :)

hi all! I'm back to blog again :)

The past week seemed to pass very quickly - which is a good thing so i am not complaining. hectic it was, i did not even have enough time to talk to debra at first.

First. we were required to pack our fieldpack. It felt more like a tekkan session than a basic requirement for our navigation exercise(navex) on wednesday. For instance, the powder bottle must be filled to the brim ie. the powder bottle needs to be hard enough so that when it is thrown onto someone's head, that someone will cry "ouch" and his head will bleed. and so! i took more than 1 hour to fill a seemingly unfillable powder bottle. Also, if anyone did not meet the standards of the fieldpack inspection, the appointment holders and the "anyone" will be confined. So, it really felt more like a tekkan session than anything else. but thank GOD, everyone passed the inspection. this is something in which everyone will remember and talk about after their NS life.

Then, on wednesday, i had my navex. to put it simply. it was fun! even the travelling along streams, swamps and into the thorny branches were fun! I was the basher (someone who will use a parang to create a path for the section to move) for the first area. everyone can see that I was very excited as i was very determined to bash through a gathering of branches when there was just a clear pathway 1m away from it. ha. i saw a grandpa ant! too bad i was not supposed to bring a camera, if not i will be able to capture it on the photo. it is about the size of my handphone la. not too big. =D and i saw a python! wooo. never knew they exist in the wildlands of singapore. anyway. I went to lower mandai to navigate. we were saying that if we saw deer(zoo) and macritchie reservoir, we are seriously lost. haha

that's all for now. hope to see you people soon. :)

finally out again to blog!

this week has passed really slow! everyone in air wing felt that this week passed slower than our 3 week confinement. yeah. because we really got into a lot of trouble -.- but thank god, we weren't that severely punished. i rather do 10 times of what i did then, then to be confined for the weekend.

air wing had happy hours on tuesday! and as a badly drinker, after 10 glasses of beer, 3 glasses of jim bean, i got drunk and i did a lot of funny things that i could not remember after that. something like going into my friend's room and chasing the owner's away because i thought that it's my room etc etc. seriously, i never thought that i would get drunk in ocs one day! never! kudos to the organisers.

hm. there seems be a lot of politics in air wing now. for me, i prefer to take a back seat whenever these things happen. so i will just keep my mouth shut. anyway. i learned quite a lot during my learning organisation workshop. the key takeaway is really...

excelling instead of competing, people doesn't have to lose for you to win

yup. this is really inspiring. and it kind of links to the situation now.

lastly, ocs is liked going to jc with more physical training, less studies. i even have to write essays for my knowledge tests. who would think that we have to write essays even in the saf. that means saf =/= kill brain cells!

ok. that's all. bye!

*Spoilers below..*

Anyway! Happy birthday bud!!

haha. I think it's ok! someone's going for a 5 day camp! that means.. she won't be able to see this until 5 days later or rather, I certainly hope so. :)
take care bud!

Alright. Sorry for the previous post. I know it looked kind of disoriented. I think I need to teach buddy how to copy and paste things! jk. =X

Anyway. My 3 weeks confinement finally came to an end! Woohoo! I know there are tonnes of people out there who think that I cannot survive in OCS. but in the end, i DID! muhaha. So... aren't you all proud of me? :)

Ok. Here are a few highlights of the 3 weeks.

LEADERSHIP FIELD CAMP

Leadership field camp was fun! uber fun! It is liked a BMT sitest +++. The first + is because the stations are much more demanding than the stations in Tekong. For example, we were brought to this dirty river to do river crossing! it's fun! I won't tell you how it is liked! you should experience it yourself. the second plus is that we don't need to navigate! my section instructor brought me from stations to stations. and the last + will be because we were moving in Full Battle Order instead of Skeletal Battle Order. Yup!

Hmmm. Ex surprise was... godlikely painful. even though i was the casualty for the first half, I still felt so tired and in pain after carrying Allan for another 1.5km. But it's quite cool la! one can never know how much one can accomplish until someone pushed him out of his own comfort zone.

Chemical Defence Course

Another very fun course to go for. basically, i've got to take off my mask in the gas chamber full of tear gas and say my nric, rank and name. I wanted to do this...

S...8...8...0...4...7...4...7..H...Officer...Cadet...Chia....Wee...Seng.....

In the end, i did this...

S..8...8..04747H. of..of..officrcadetchiaweseg

It was quite fun and painful to experience the tear gas.

Yup. That's all about it!

Air wing is so much less regimented and more freedom! Though the Z monster is so powerful in the lectures, i managed to defeat it for most of the lectures. Especially after they removed my iron curtain(lanyard) and mentioned that people who are caught sleeping will sign extras.

First book out! Buddy went all the way to Boon Lay to fetch me! muahahaha. then we went eskibar to drink with vivien and jieyin. haha. they bullied me to stuck my hands into ice in the room where the temperature is only -4.4 degrees celsius. Cool! haha.

Yup. that's all about it. Bye!

OK! I'm asking my buddy to post this for me because if OCS doesn't allow me to blog using their terminals. So, even if i can use computer with internet, I can't blog due to the sedition acts, SAF acts etc etc. And I know everyone of you are waiting anxiously for my news in OCS.

RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN

This is precisely what I do in OCS. I run before breakfast. I run before dinner. run and run and run... apart from all the lectures about being a leader, presentation skills. But I have to admit. The PT here is really xiong. We were supposed to do 2 rounds of circuit training last on wednesday. By the time we finished one round, most of us could not take it anymore. So, we stopped at one... EGO is really at stake in OCS. I will never ever fall out before anyone else do is what pushes me to continue my training in OCS. So, that is to say, I haven't fall out yet.

Muahahhaa. aren't you all proud of me :) and this is the reason why people don't get much news about OCS. We, cadets are not supposed to complain and whine about how tough the training here, how miserable my life is here. And so.. people won't know much about the training in OCS!

We are the officer cadets of the OCS
To inspire us onwards as officers to be
We now state with reverence and respect
The officers' creed

I am an officer of the Singapore Armed Forces
My duty is to lead, to excel and to overcome
I lead my men by example
I answer for the training, morale and discipline
I must excel in everything I do.
I serve with pride, honour and integrity
I will overcome adversities with courage, fortitude and determination
I dedicate my life to Singapore.

It's no longer the SAF's 7 core values that I have to recite every water parade. It's the Officers' creed. and I'm proud, though it's though, to say that. Ok! that's all for the updates. Booking out in 13 days time!

alright. since this is my last time i can blog.. i will do just that.

less than 12 hours to OCS. you can actually know how sian-ed i am feeling at this point in time. sigh. like what tf has said. working in AFRC is liked eating abalones. no doubt, there are very places in the SAF for a pes B soldier to sleep, play psp, more than 2 hours lunch break, chit chat with colleagues, come late for work etc etc. alright, this is liked a confession to my in charge in AFRC. on the other hand, going to OCS is liked eating vegetables and yes it's liked eating vegetables. super regimented... so in conclusion, once you have tasted abalone, you don't want to eat veggies anymore.

i'm actually here to bid farewell to my friends. here you go...

goodbye debra
goodbye tf
goodbye sherlyn
goodbye camilia
goodbye ally
goodbye van
goodbye weiting
goodbye jieyin
goodbye zhan hui
goodbye kenneth
goodbye winglok
goodbye jin yong
goodbye guan zhong
goodbye pok
goodbye alex
goodbye everyone....

note: the names are not mentioned in any order.

sobs. I WILL SURVIVE THERE!!! RAWRS!
